Who We Are

Stephen Caronia – The Doctor Is In – AKA Dr Dan Marino, is a NYC based Physical Therapist.  Born and bred in Brooklyn and a lifetime Knicks, Jets and Yankees fan.  His career highlights include weaving an intricate tapestry of profanity directed at Doug Brien,  stabbing a pair of scissors into the wall at age fifteen after learning that half the Knicks were suspended against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Semifinals, and standing in a bookshelf for 12 innings to ensure a Yankee Victory*.

Michael John Coluccio – The Other MJ – Michael made a name for himself in Brooklyn as the founder and artistic director of The SSJ Players.  His production of the “Cabaret Cares” series at the “Laurie Beechman Theatre” won the NYC “MAC” award in 2010 and 2011.
It was the summer of 1986, Michael faded his drive on a simple Par 3….very short…only 100 yards…Damned if he didn’t catch a wind that “righted” his soft 5 iron ringht onto the green -HUGE green-  but they were dry and they were fast.  Michael heard the screams of the the people both from his end and from the tee at the 18th hole, adjacent to his green…many drinks were bought for him that day.  And he still has the ball.  Michael is an avid sports fan and has been a die-hard Yankee fan for 40 years

Charles MessinaWest Coast Offensive - is an American playwright, screenwriter and director. Messina’s play A Room of My Own,was optioned and is currently being developed for stage and screen by executive producer Ted Kurdyla with actors Ralph Macchio and Mario Cantone attached in lead roles.

Charles was an All-Star Basketball Player in the Greenwhich Village Basketball League, as well as an All-Star Third Baseman on his High School’s WiffleBall team (although there was no All-Star Game due to a strike shortened season!)  However his greatest achievement came in 2012, managing his Downtown Little League Knights to an AAA Championship, with his son, Ethan “The Ice Man” Messina on the mound for the last out.   Sports doesn’t get any better than this!

Ethan MessinaA Kids Game -  Is a ten year old sports fan from TriBeCa, New York City.  He is called “The Ice-Man” for his icy cold demeanor on the mound.  He has a filthy change-up and gets very offended if you say he lives in Greenwhich Village.

Brian Renoni – comes from a sheltered New England life.  His experience in NYC and around the country has made him realize, he really wants to go back to his sheltered New England life.  When he isn’t rambling incoherently about teams he thinks care about his opinion but knows they really don’t, he spends his time working in NYC as a stagehand and at home attempting to not be kicked to the couch nightly.

Carlo Rivieccio - Sports-Lo – Regrets many, many things.

Columnist Carlo Rivieccio was there for that Yankee Victory.  It was July 1st, 2004, aka The Jeter Dives Into The Stands Game.  Steve was not allowed to exit the bookshelf after that until the end of the game.
